Get to Know Us
My name is Brooke Robinson, and I live in rural Southern Manitoba on an acreage with my husband, our two sons, and all our animals. Life here is full in every sense of the word—busy, meaningful, sometimes overwhelming, and deeply rooted in connection. Home has always been a place of both responsibility and comfort for me, which is part of what inspired the heart behind The Robin’s Nest.
Before this work became something I offered to others, it was something I lived.
As a mother and a nurse, I have experienced firsthand the weight and complexity of caregiving—the constant balancing, the emotional load, and the quiet moments where you’re expected to keep going even when you feel stretched thin. Alongside this, my personal experience with attention and focus challenges has shaped how I understand overwhelm, resilience, and self-compassion.
I am passionate about supporting individuals navigating grief, chronic illness, pain, ADHD, and the many layers of caregiving. I hold a special place for parents and healthcare professionals, knowing how much is often carried—both seen and unseen. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens when you feel safe enough to be yourself. I see each person as a whole—mind, body, and spirit—and, when it feels supportive, I incorporate complementary approaches such as mindfulness, therapeutic arts, and mindful movement
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. You already hold the answers—sometimes they just need space, support, and the right tools to come forward. At The Robin’s Nest, this is the heart of my work: creating a space that feels like coming home—safe, supported, and gently held while you find your way forward.
Our Story
I hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Red River College and am registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
Over the past 10 years in healthcare, I have developed extensive experience in grief support, chronic illness, and pain management. I have also supported patients and families through end-of-life care, and my work has evolved to provide guidance and care for caregivers, including parents and other healthcare professionals.
I have completed the Certified Nurse Psychotherapist certificate, through The College of Health Studies, with training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I also have additional training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, along with 136 hours of education in lactation support and infant feeding through Douglas College (LEARRC approved).
I have further training in grief, bereavement, and end-of-life care and I remain committed to ongoing learning so I can continue to support others in meaningful and informed ways.
